the gap in communication that occurs when the person who is listening spontaneously looses the ability to track the conversation in a meaningful way and the information simply doesn’t stick. this often occurs due to outside distraction, being too drunk or high, lack of interest in the topic or talking to boring people.
extended teflon moments can take on the magnitude of a missing time experience.
