The Politician’s “You”
a practice commonly exercised by politicians, dictators, corporate establishments, salesmen and your parents, where one deliberately subst-tutes words such as “me”, “i” or “oneself” for “you” in order to appear selfless and public-spirited.
common politician: “this is what public (you) wants.”
correctly interpreted as “this is what i want.” hence the politician’s “you”.
