The Whipple Effect

the whipple effect is the gross misuse of time and resources in lieu of the obvious easy solution. this is often seen in television newsrooms. the perpetrator often is short and skinny with a mustache (ie he looks like mr whipple). his past experiences are marketed to the victims as “he knows everything”.
jack: “why are there 5 photographers at this press conference?”
jim: ” mr whipple sent them all.”
jack: “d-mn that’s the whipple effect right there!”
