the act of hitting an object or person repet-tively with a somewhat soft, spongy object, e.g a rubber chicken, foam sword, or a cat.
i’d simply had enough of his dry jokes, so i picked up the christmas turkey and gave that kid a good thelping. i haven’t heard him tell another one since.
