throw one’s bones somewhere
1. to go to some place mainly for entertainment or sightseeing.
note: this phrase always has a meaning of a distance, so it can’t be used for a type of a place, unless it’s a specific place (can’t say “let’s throw our bones to the cinema”, but can say “let’s throw our bones to jam hall”)
2. take a seat, especially when there is a choice what table/lobby sofa/seats in the airport/place for a picnic etc to occupy.

if there are no better ideas let’s throw our bones to the dungeon disco.

— then let’s throw our bones right here. no noise, no traffic – great table!
