member of the democratic party in the united states who, out of cowardice or unprincipled self-interest, collaborates with (rather than opposes) the fascist and anti-const-tutional policies of the republican party, or of neo-conservatives more generally. derived from the vichy french who collaborated with the n-z-s during world war ii.
