someone who wears their “patriotism” on their sleeve by buying one of those cheap magnetic “support the troops” yellow ribbon b-mper stickers sold at walmart and maybe has a blog about how he / she supports the troops, but does nothing of any substance to actually support the troops. for example, if offered the opportunity to go to an actual war zone to do something that would substantially support the troops (like report on the war and war fighters or in any other actual support capacity handled by a civilian, like a logistics contractor), they’d head for the hills in their suv, adorned with the walmart patriotism yellow ribbon magnetic b-mper sticker – conveniently able to be pulled off when having dinner with their anti-war friends.
