in the same vein as connipsis, whatheflipsis is a combination of the word ellipsis and the expression “what the flip?” that is represented by a series of three successive question marks “???”. a whatheflipsis is typically used in internet forums, sms messages, email, irc, and various other forms of electronic communication. whatheflipsis indicates extreme incredulity.
