the mascot for wikipedia’s wikiproject anime and manga as well as their counter-vandalism unit, previously a contender for wikipedia mascot.

a fictional anime-style preteen girl who is the official mascot of wikipedia. originally created by kasuga, an admin on the j-panese wikipedia. after it was learned that kasuga draws cartoon child p-rnography] off-site as a “hobby”, this caused a minor pr disaster on wikipedia. (ironically in j-panese, “tan” refers to someone you want to have s-x with – in the case of wikipedos, a preteen girl apparently).
wikipedia administrator: “oh no! if the public finds out that the creator of wikipe-tan is a hentai child p-rn freak, this will destroy wikipedia’s reputation!”
