abercoedian
pr-nounced as ….ab-urgh-coyd-ian. a slang term used since 2002 which refers to a person living a small welsh village or town. the place may be referred to under the generic term aberfaraway pr-nounced as ‘aber-far-away’ as opposed to the official town or place name.
i am moving from cardiff to pencoed and will no longer be a cardiffian but will be an abercoedian, living in aberfaraway.
