a popular sign-off/closing for television interviews or podcasts. the phrase originally became an internet sensation after texas governor rick perry used the phrase as a sign-off closing goodbye to a television reporter.
during the hype for perry’s speculation of running for u.s. president in 2012, it was used by a popular podcast, no agenda, with adam curry and john c. dvorak.
the phrase generally means “goodbye, motherf-cker”. this phrase is the exact opposite of in the morning.
