Aldosteronism
an abnormality of the body’s electrolyte balance, caused by excessive secretion of by the adrenal cortex and characterized by hypertension, low serum pot-ssium, excessive urination, and alkalosis.

a disorder marked by excessive secretion of the hormone aldosterone, which can cause weakness, cardiac irregularities, and abnormally high blood pressure. also called hyperaldosteronism.
