Arachnamalia

arachnamalia – a highly evolved state of arachnophobia in which fear has long since been overcome. the sight of spiders now triggers an almost inhuman predatory response where the subject will wait patiently, ignoring all else and becoming hyper aware until the spider reappears and the subject obliterates it from existence quickly, silently, and efficiently. after the kill, subject may wear a slightly crazed look and silently gloat to themselves. it is -ssumed that this response releases a dosage of dopamine in the subjects brain making this new behavior highly addictive.
john is sitting quietly at his computer looking at some internet p-rn when out of his peripheral he spots a spider. his arachnamalia quickly takes over. he silently stalks it and with the nearest flat object, he ends its life instantly. he observes his new kill with crazed interest.
