a person who is not interested in or does not desire s-xual activity, either within or outside of a relationship. as-xuality is not the same as celibacy, which is the willful decision to not act on s-xual feelings. as-xuals, while not physically s-xual-type folks, are none the less quite capable of loving, affectionate, romantic ties to others.
while many women involved in so-called “boston marriages” had as-xual relationships, their partnerships have none-the-less been claimed by some as part of lesbian history.
there are two general meanings.

1. the absence of a s-xuality, most notably in humans. some may just not be s-xuallly attracted to others, otehrs may completely lack a s-x drive or s-xual desires. common misconceptions are that such people have suffered s-xual abuse, are emotionally frigid, are closet h-m-s-xuals, m-st-rb-t- ten times a day, are too ugly to get in a s-xual relationship or are impotent. this, more often than not, does not apply.

2. without s-xual intercourse. for example, cells (be it nerve cells, bacteria or other protozoa such as amoeba) reproduce via mitosis (or dividing) as opposed to s-xual reproduction. the result tends to be two cells of exactly the same genetic structure as the ‘parent cell’, though genetic mutation can occur if the dna is duplicated incorrectly.

2. apart from rare cases where cells reproduce via meiosis (splitting into four cells), most cells reproduce via mitosis. originally the human body is just one zygote cell, two gamete cells fused together. at adulthood, there are millions or perhaps billions of cells all with different purposes, nerves, muscle, skin, brain tissue… this is all possible due to mitosis, the non-s-xual reproduction of the cells themselves. however, the human body requires s-xual reproduction for the initial cell. an example without this is bacteria, which have no form of intercourse and simply divide. this is as-xual reproduction.
an as-xual is an individual who is is not s-xually attracted to either men or women. important cl-ssifications to note:

repulsed as-xuals: as-xuals that are opposed to the idea of having s-x with any other individual. some may m-st-rb-t- to release any s-xual tension, though some even find masturbation repulsive.

flexible as-xuals: as-xuals that are more open to the idea of having s-x and may be willing to have s-x for the benefit of a s-xual partner. some flexible as-xuals may even enjoy having s-x.

aromantic as-xuals: as-xuals who have little or no romantic drive. they usually prefer to be single. some even never experience crushes. aromantic as-xuals are usually repulsed as-xuals.

romantic as-xuals: as-xuals who have a romantic drive and often have a desire to find a significant other. romantic as-xuals can be either flexible or repulsed. flexible ones are usually willing to date s-xuals and as-xuals, repulsed ones usually prefer to date other as-xuals when possible. romantic as-xuals are split into a few subcategories.

hetero-romantic as-xuals: as-xuals who are emotionally attracted to individuals of the opposite gender.

h-m–romantic as-xuals: as-xuals who are emotionally attracted to individuals of the same gender.

bi-romantic as-xuals: as-xuals who are emotionally attracted to individuals of the same gender and the opposite gender.

pan-romantic as-xuals: as-xuals who are emotionally attracted to individuals of all genders.
1) whenever me and my friends get together and start talking about our s-x lives, tom always drops out of the conversation. i think he might be as-xual.

2) please don’t ask me to explain the difference between emotional and physical attraction. i am a repulsed aromantic as-xual who has never experienced a crush so i wouldn’t know.

as-xual girl: since you are having bad luck with men, and you apparently have the power to magically change your s-xual orientation, why not become a lesbian and give women a try?

4) as-xuals do not experience s-xual attraction. they are like the opposite of a bis-xual, or a pans-xual if you want to be technical. is that really so difficult to understand?
someone who doesn’t experience s-xual attraction. often confused with autos-xual (s-xually attracted to oneself), as-xual reproduction (when organisms can reproduce without s-x), celibacy/abstinence (the choice not to have s-x). as-xuals may or may not be romantically attracted to others, and may or may not have a s-x drive (though not directed towards anyone or anything).

as-xuality is _not_ a choice, and you cannot decide to become one. they are just born that way, the same way as people are straight, gay, bi, or whatever.

2. i am as-xual, i am not attracted to men or women.
the lack of any s-xual drive. with this s-xuality, you can stare at women right in the face. yes, i know, it’s amazing to be one.
as-xual and autos-xual are not the same thing, but n-body could grasp that.
a person who either:
a) does not feel a s-xual attraction to others.
b)refrains from expressing any s-xual desires towards others.
as-xuality is fast becoming one of the recognized s-xuality identifications.
as-xual is the opposite of pans-xual.
in human terms someone who experiences no s-xual attraction to anyone or anything.some are completely devoid of s-xuality, while some have a s-x drive where attraction is not a factor, if they m-st-rb-t- it is only a physical act with no attraction or ‘s-xual’ thoughts
is a very rare and strange s-xual orientation
that man/woman is an as-xual, they never have and have no desire to have s-x
