when someone as talking to you as if something has already happened, or will be happening in a certain way. a cross between -ssuming and forecasting that generally is negative or ominous doom and gloom.
my husband was telling me something, and like always, i had to clarify if it was something that had actually happened, or if he was -sscasting again.
