August Uglies
the weeds on a farm that have managed to survive all the attempts to kill them over the summer. by august you are so wore out from fighting the weeds all summer that you let the weeds that have survived, grow and become unsightly hence the name uglies.
farmer 1 “those d-mn weeds just wont die.”
farmer 2 “we’re into the august uglies by now, i just let mine grow.”
