a phrase coined by carol fisher in 2014 meaning auto correct. while sending a text to her daughter barbara pasnak. auto ogres having been plaguing the internet for quite some time. in 2015 it has morphed into a new version , otto ogre.

example : while texting carol sends a text that says “d-mn auto ogre” while trying to type “d-mn auto correct”.
