es una expresión del norte argentino, es un término gauchesco y criollo. se refiere a alguien que pasó la noche en un velorio, sin dormir, por eso su falta de conciencia al otro día de la vigilia.
el destacado compositor gustavo leguizamón describe esta expresión y ejecuta una chacarera que compuso estando -según él- aveloriado (“chacarera del aveloriao”, cuchi leguizamón, vivo en europa, 1991).
