Avoidachop

avoidachop (verb) – when someone ends a relationship or friendship with another person by simply avoiding them, or ignoring them. for those people not comfortable with the popular and highly effective e-chop approach, the ‘avoidachop’ can take anywhere between 5 days to two weeks (in severe cases it can take months, depending on the intelligence of the ‘choppee’) to achieve full effect.

it is generally practised when the ‘avoidachopper’:

(i) would prefer not to deal with the uncomfortable process of formally rejecting a person;
(ii) develops a phobia of all communication devices including telephones, mobile phones, computers, post offices, fax machines and morse code; or
(iii) is in a coma and unable to communicate with the rest of mankind.
example 1:

person 1: “i saw helen out in the city the other night with a new bloke – i thought she was seeing that new guy?”
person 2: “no, he avoidachopped her – she hasn’t heard from him in weeks.”

example 2:
person 1: “so how is it going with that cindy girl?”
person 2: “no good, i don’t think it’s going anywhere.”
person 1: “oh cr-p…how did you break it to her?”
person 2: “no problem, i just avoidachopped her – too easy.”
