AWOR

(adv.) acronym for “another week of reruns.” the term basically means the same thing as the word “rerun,” making it a pointless abbreviation since only one letter is saved. the word was coined in 2000 by zach horan, a regular poster in the alt.tv.game-shows newsgroup.

note: it is generally supposed to be used as an adverb, as in “‘the price is right’ went awor.” however, it has been incorrectly used as a noun that is synonymous with “rerun,” as in “cbs replaced the awors of ‘the price is right’ with new episodes.”
“‘who wants to be a millionaire’ went awor again this week.”

“i can’t believe that ‘jeopardy’ went awor!”
