being Vulcan
to remove one’s self from feeling and emotion during a time of great feeling, as for an example the death of a family member. the purpose being that the individual does not want to experience that certain emotion(based off a species “vulcan” from the show star trek.)
it was a tuesday morning during the wake, bob turned to billy and said, “do you see jake over there, he hasn’t cried once at his own mother’s funeral.”
“that’s because he is being vulcan”
