1) latrodectus hesperus, the western black widow spider or western widow, is a venomous spider species found in western regions of north america. the female’s body is 14–16 mm (1/2 in) in length and is black, often with an hourgl-ss-shaped red mark on the lower abdomen. the female can secrete a neurotoxin which can be fatal (especially to children and elderly). the male is harmless.

3) a prank in which the prankster (typically male fraternity member) pulls down his pants, spreads his b-tt cheeks and places his b-tt-hole on the nose of an unconscious friend (or nemesis) who has typically drunk himself into such a stupor he does not respond and is photographed multiple times in this toxic position. the name black widow references the black body of the spider represented by the prankster’s p–p filled b-tt-hole and and the dark legs of a black widow represented by the prankster’s dark wispy b-tt hairs splaying in all directions on either side of the nose of the black widow’s victim.
