to fix a situation or argument by one person (the blackfixer) separately blackmailing both sides involved and thus fixing the argument and bringing both sides involuntarily back together for his own profit
there is a school play and john breaks up with jane during the rehearsal, and as a result of this they both refuse to act in it. the director, who personally knows them and is their best friend – pulls out sensible information from their past to blackmail each of them and convince them to come back.
they are bot blackmailed, doing what they are asked to do and the situation affecting the third person (the blackfixer) is solved
