blocking lady
a self absorbed middle to upper cl-ss woman, usually a mother, who gets in people’s way by stopping in inopportune or inappropriate places.
usually older, gl-sses, mom jeans, maybe a sweatshirt with floral applique. they stand in the middle of aisles at the grocery store, look askance in the doorway of the barnes and n-ble, stop at green lights. not all of their blocks are physical, or literal. they can block careers, or relationships, or personal growth.
sorry we’re late, we got stuck behind a blocking lady going 15 mph on the road. but it’s ok, because of her we missed being in an accident.
