bombfetti
bombfetti refers to the modern practice of surrounding a character in bits of flying dirt, shrapnel and/or sparks, suggesting that there has just been some kind of explosion or powerful movement and yet invariably the characters stands totaly immobile so it just looks like someone is chucking a handful of debris at them from offscreen.
