1: to call someone for a hot night of no strings attached dancing.
2: inviting friends out to dance, usually via call or text.
word-play originating from “booty call” but for dancing instead of s-x.
phrase was coined by a professional dancer in chicago while out social west coast swing dancing.
“i want to go out dancing with some friends tonight. time to make some boogie calls!”
“i’m going to boogie call christopher, it’s been a while since his last one.”
“there’s no one here to dance with. i’m going to make some boogie calls!” “what’s that?” “it’s like a booty call, but for dancing.”
