egyptian word derived from the ancient word bot-hous the slaves used at the time, roughly translating to b-tt-hole. this surname was given to the egyptian slaves that carried a foul odor similar to that of a camel’s “b-tt-hole”. these “b-tt-hole’s” were not asked by the slave masters to carry out any labor as to avoid the odor. this trait became desirable as one might imagine, and developed into a general laziness over several generations.
