burnout band
this is the term used for a band that didn’t last very long in the limelight. they probably had their 15 minutes of fame and then split up, or abused drugs, or killed themselves, who knows. this is the term for any band that died out quickly.
girl: “why haven’t one direction released anything lately?”
boy: “because they split up, they’re such a burnout band”
