camouflaneur
a (post) postmodern expression for the urban/contemporary artist, one who has the ability both to invent and conceal, communicate and absorb. based on the poetics of camouflage golding and flaneur baudelaire, benjamin, emphasising the nomadic, rhizomatic energy-skills of the curious, the technician, the editor and the eccentric.
the urban artist who feels more at home with wanderings, non-representational expression, political agency without moralising: this is the camouflaneur.
