when you catch an individual looking at you and they immediately look away only to look back at you soon after. a phrase derived from the old fashion cat clocks that would move their eyes from side to side as the seconds went by.
dennis: ” have you seen who’s here at the party?”
alex: ” yeah man, looks like torran made it after all”
dennis: ” you think he knows you are here?”
alex : “of course he knows i’m here, he’s been cat clocking me since i got here. acting like he hasn’t seen me” “he knows he owes me money”
