an expression used to mean a piece of material or an object; similar to “thingy” or “doohickey.”
this term was coined by the lead singer of the comical band: nine inch p-n-s (jeanette dosseva) during an interview for rolling stones magazine. it’s use has spread due to the internet and nip’s following.
