Cercle Brun

a group of friends meeting on a more or less regular basis to write poetry in bars. “cercle” is the french for “circle” and also refers to an intimate group. “brun” is the color “brown”.

the name is said to origin from the founding verse that goes like that: “brunitude, incroyable vision de merde”.

it is also argued by some members that it might refer to the brown circle you can see when looking at your beer from the top (or to any other brown circle one could think of).
“stephanie, eric and pascal met last thursday for a cercle brun, but vicky really couldn’t make it.”
