a verb useable in any situation, originated in the north east of scotland , used initially ammungst garden laborers when digging up turf with a shovel , a good chanf denoted a more than acceptable mound of turf being ploughed in one scoop. later converging into scottish street culture , and then into london suburbs e.g. surrey . and later into the inner city grime scene particularly south london
aye a good chanf there mate , perhaps next time some better gr-ss yield would be preferable
