chucks are shoes put out by converse. the complete name for them is ‘chuck taylors’. i’ve also heard them reffered to as ‘connies’, but this sounds lame (in my opinion).

people have already listed a whole lot of steroetpyes that wear chucks (really anyone can wear them, they look great and have a really simple design) but no one has mentioned the b-boys of the late 70s through to the 80s.
while everyone know adidas superstars are strongly embedded in this period of history, chucks are often overlooked.

i’ve seen images of b-boy rocking chucks with the tongues out (post-tioned outside of their jeans) and with fat laces.

just thought everyone should know. when i think of chucks, i think of b-boys and the ramones.

in the original days of chuck taylors..it was the only shoe really available, up until the year 2002 you could buy them for 10 dollars because all they are is canvas and hard rubber made my the blistered hands of children in sweatshops. now that they are “popular” dum-sses pay 40 to 50 bucks for these shoes. now im not sayin they arent cool but the prices are ridiculous for the product.

a strong, artistic, musician type who constantly surprises. sensitive but rarely shows it. a chuck can be your best friend and lift your spirits, or a chuck can be unforgiving and leave you abandoned. a chuck is very compet-tive, even against those who love and want to please. a chuck is a great friend to have, as long as you understand it will only be for a while. like a cat, a chuck is independent and solitary by nature.
