church hopping
the concept of people leaving one church where they find the doctrine hard to swallow, for another; whose doctrine is more palatable. this was common back when i was a young punk, in the 60’s
the smiths were seriously into church hopping
to go from one church to another church, experiencing many worshipping services.
to attend more than one church service and partake in many other church activities, other than your usual church.
