Contextplating

the act of taking a prolonged break in a text conversation to decide between possible things you can say. this usually happens when trying to say the right thing to someone you’re interested in and try to sound clever, funny or smart. or when it is important not to say something wrong that could escalate into an unwanted conflict.

“i don’t know man just keep contextplating for a while and if she asks what took so long say you didn’t notice you had a text”
