actually, “cor blimey!” is derrived from the middle-aged expression “g-d, blind me!”, used when someone saw something they shouldnt have. commonly used in expressions by upper-cl-ss brits, etc, when in shock, suprised etc. mainly as a form of really stupid exaggeration
