counter-drift
the act of countering another cars drift to prevent a collision. this usually takes place around corners when two vehicles are simultaneously drifting too close to each other. the car behind is forced to take a different line than the car ahead, resulting in a counter drift and the prevention of a collision. used for racing games but also applies irl.
