having to do something incredibly quickly. it’s a combination of the terms “cray” (for crazy) and “asap” (as soon as possible). it was launched in a professional setting based on the overuse of “asap” by senior employees wanting projects done immediately and has started to be used more frequently in various sectors.
dan: “yo, dave, the boss needs that doc-ment drafted craysap.”
dave: “i’m on it, craysap!”
