Cruship
a cruship (a portmanteau of crush and friendship) is when you are very close with a friend or another person and develop feelings similar to that of a crush, but completely platonic (i.e. realizing how attractive you think your friend is, liking spending time with them, being very affectionate, though not in a s-xual and/or romantic sense). kind of like the prestages of a bromance, though a cruship can be a thing entirely of its own.
after shopping with allison all day and realizing how beautiful and cool of a person she is, lydia realized she had devolved a cruship on her friend.
lydia: i think i’ve got a cruship on you.
allison: aw. this the start of a bromance.
