when a person gives an extravagant gift to the person that they are dating too early in the courtship.
at the beginning of a third date a man presents a woman with a gift – an expensive watch. upon recieving the gift the woman feels uncomfortable and may feel that by accepting the gift she is consenting to a committed relationship. ultimately, giving the “crystal cat” may sabotage the future of the relationship.
