in a discussion or debate forum, the tactic of breaking rules unrelated to the discussion at hand in order to invoke wrath of the moderators, with the resulting suspension/ban saving one from the embarr-ssment of having to carry on after having one’s arguments completely dismantled. also applies to trolls, as a means to an exit.
it looks like he’s gonna choose death by mod, rather than trying to get out of that hole he has dug for himself.
