debraism
the use of conversational traits and tendencies subconciously acquried from others over a period of time. this includes (but is not limited to): intonations, diction, and phrases.
derivative of the name debra (deborah), which means \”to speak kind words\” and plays off the phrase: \”imitation is the finest form of flattery.\”
occasionally, the pitch of her voice rose at the end of her sentences, a debraism acquired from her college roomate, whom she dormed with for several years.
