n. a workstation/office that is out of the way and not near the main areas of a workplace. term comes from the series star trek: voyager, where deck 15 was the lowest deck on the starship.
employee one: hey, my office is on the third floor. how ’bout yours?
employee two: i’m stationed on deck 15; the second sub-bas-m-nt.
