(noun): an informal expression which refers to the position of an individual who is either in major trouble or has an unlucky problem without a happy resolution. a dilemma in which the involved individual does not have more than two unfortunate choices to pick from. see: deep sh-t (more vulgar). also see: doodoo (an informal reference to fecal matter).
example 1:

their newborn has brain damage and has acquired an infection; they cannot be happy because they are in deep doodoo.
