Arias-Stella phenomenon A·ri·as-Stel·la phenomenon (ä’rē-ä-stěl’ə, är’yä-stě’yä)
n.
Focal, unusual, decidual changes in endometrial epithelium that consist of intraluminal budding, nuclear enlargement, and hyperchromatism with cytoplastic swelling and vacuolation. Also called Arias-Stella reaction.
