Cabbage Soup Diet

Cabbage Soup Diet: The Cabbage Soup Diet is a weight loss program designed to be used for seven days with the goal of a rapid weight loss of up to ten pounds in a week. The Cabbage Soup Diet allows unlimited consumption of water and cabbage soup, while on each of the seven days, certain other foods are permitted.

A running myth suggests that this diet originated at various well-known hospitals, but the diet is not associated with any major medical institution. The Cabbage Soup Diet is not a nutritionally sound weight loss program. Proponents of the diet admit that this program is not suitable for long-term weight loss and recommend that it only be used as a “jump start” to a diet or weight loss program.
