COPP


Short for Certified Output Protection Protocol, COPP is a device driver technology used to enable high-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) during the transmission of digital video between applications and high-definition displays. COPP is a Microsoft security technology for video systems that require a logo certification. For security drivers are authenticated and protected from tampering to prevent unauthorized high-quality recording from the video outputs. COPP control signals are also encrypted.
