digital hickey
tagging someone in a facebook post, with or without consent, to create the appearance of intimacy. for example, you are guilty of giving a digital hickey when you check-in while at a company happy hour and tag someone you are fond of, but rarely talk to, so it looks like you are there together.
can you believe john?! i hardly even know him and he tagged me in facebook. he totally gave me a digital hickey!
