Disfold
a new expression to describe the vast array of new phenomenological experiences that may arise as a direct result of using a digital device. in short, those glitches, bloppers that happen as result of using some sort of tech gadget. “b-tt dialing” someone is considered a ‘disfold.’
the randomness of drop calls. starting a text but a phone calls comes through, your on the phone so long, you forget to send the text. shattered smartphone screen, “that person is outside of the coverage area,” yet they’re not, phone/tablet/game console freezes- these are but a few examples of ‘having a disfold.’
disfoldication- the study of this new phenom.
